While doing the other small art gigs I have gotten and working on the sexy sketches of the plus sized women, I managed to work up some more Bruins artwork too. The season will be put on pause soon due to the olympics but since the Canadiens are in town tonight I figured it was time to post something supportive.

Thick Chick Thursday - Steady Going

So it has been a kind of up and down year so far for me. I have been trying to find a day job and keep the money coming with some commissions. I have some going, doing some small stuff but the day job is killing me. It sucks job hunting.

So to try and keep things going steadily I have a return to Thick Chick Thursday doing what I do best.

Sort of a variation on a theme with these girls. All from one sketch I did of a non octopus related sea witch. They seemed fun and worth adding some color too.

Stalled Out Saturday

The new smaller changes and self promotion aside, this week has been relatively quiet on the creative front. I have been struggling with where I am in life and it is affecting all areas of my mind. I try to stay positive as best I can. When I am angry and frustrated with day job stuff, my artwork sorta feels the brunt of it.
Not happy about that.
Hope this changes soon. i woke up with a head full of ideas for new and exciting themes and pieces to do and hopefully show off soon.

Spent most of today cleaning up the studio and organizing old and new reference. Hopefully it helps clear my mind.

Hello all. I have made some changes to the page. The new name is MacSketchyArt.blogspot.com. Hopefully that will take effect soon and you wont have to change too much. Next, a new banner with new info and description. Please do not shy away from following, watching, and liking all my pages. I feed off of results like that.

TCT- Buck Up

So along with the other work I got up this week, I figured I should do something to continue the line of ladies that are all about the New England sports. Another post season and another New England team is in the final rounds. This week the Patriots face off against the Denver Broncos for the AFC Championship. It should be a helluva game. So you know my girls are all about showing support for the local teams.

So things aren't going the way i'd like them in life right now. Been sick, and searching for a job while running out of money is no fun. I am doing my bes to keep my head up. Part of that has been sticking to artwork and doing what I love. So here is more of that to hopefully keep you all going as well.

Tide Change Tuesday

Alright folks I have some news.

For sometime I was operating on the assistance of Unemployment funds from the state of Massachusetts. As of last week i was cut off. I am still unemployed but in the day job/steady paycheck world. This sucks. it is not how I wanted to start the year off like. After having a pretty good holiday with the family, and getting some great artwork on here, i got knocked down a few pegs.

I have been here before but not as bad as I fear it can get. I am still living with the family, and very grateful for that and that I have them. They are going to do their best to help me but really it is up to me to set things right and get back on my feet.

As far as artwork goes. I may have some stuff coming up soon that is different, but pay is not guaranteed. I love creating and showing off my new pieces on here. I plan to continue to do so.

I guess what I am saying is, if you feel so inclined, head over to the blog and hit that little donate button on there. Any and all support and help is appreciated and will not go unnoticed.

As far as commissions and freelance gigs go...SCHEDULE IS WIDE OPEN!!! I am so available it hurts. Whatever you have in mind I would be most happy to help you realize your ideas and vision. Do not hesitate to ask me. Please.

Believe it or not this may be the first time I have really drawn Urusla. It is so much fun. I really dig the eels as well. So many damn curves.

TCT- Bonus Disney Villain

So while working up the plus sized versions of the "Frozen" girls, I had a thought about someone else in the Disney world with some wild white hair. I have always added some weight and curves to the Disney ladies, but what about the one lady that doesn't need anything extra? Well I finally worked up a few pieces to allow here to show off her curves.

So from the snow covered mountains, we go under the sea.

Boy she is fun to draw.

Thick Chick Thursday - Do You Wanna Build A Snowman

Hellooooooo, everyone. Well, looks like we made it. 2014, it is finally here. Time to renew those resolutions or new ideas you had to make your life better or those around you. I know that I am going to get my ass in gear and set things right again. It's been too long since I have been in my gym. Hoping to get a full time job and get the money coming again. It's going to be tough all around but with some good support from those close to me and crossing my fingers, let's hope it picks up.

So onward to the new art for the year. We ended the year with a good set and some recaps. Now we move forward. So exciting isn't it? Well not only is this the first post of 2014 but it is the first Thick Chick Thursday of the year as well. How lucky are we?/ Hope you all get out to show off your curves and support those that do.

Here in the Northeast we got ourselves a little Nor'easter, or Noorr'eastahh. Its a wicked bad winter storm with snow, wind, and cold. We have been going all day today with the whiteout conditions and its gonna get worse tonight. To tie into all these ideas, I also went and saw "Frozen" the other night. I bought the soundtrack and got the art book first and wow did they undersell that movie. There is so much more than a talking snowman. The animation was fantastic. The acting and singing was amazing. Indina Menzel kills it with the Snow Queens song "Let It Go", but Kristen Bell really sells her quirky and kinda weird princess, Anna. Lots of great stuff about this movie. Go see it.

Since I am such a Disney geek, and to keep the Plus Sized Princesses going, I have today my take on the girls of "Frozen". Elsa, the Snow Queen, and her sister, Anna. I really enjoy drawing both of them but took to Elsa a bit more. Gotta love someone as powerful and sexy as her right. Okay enough rambling.

So after getting a handle on their designs, it was time to have some fun. ;)

Yeah they are gonna be fun to color.
