While doing the other small art gigs I have gotten and working on the sexy sketches of the plus sized women, I managed to work up some more Bruins artwork too. The season will be put on pause soon due to the olympics but since the Canadiens are in town tonight I figured it was time to post something supportive.

The Boys Are Back!!!!

I'm feeling better. It's been a rough few weeks. Lots of gross feelings both mentally and physically, I have been struggling with life and work issues as well as dealing with some nasty sicknesses and ailments. Hoping that gets resolved soon. As I do with the life and work. That is more my problem than yours. Just wanted to let you all know, I am alive and kicking.



Guess who else is back and feeling good? The Boston Bruins!! That's right, Its Hockey season again. Woooo!! Seems like just yesterday we were licking our wounds after a hard loss to the Blackhawks in the finals. It's not often that we get two season premieres in the same year. This year we do. I for one am very glad that the whole of the NHL is back.

Game 4

Now it gets serious. 3 games into the series. This one is a tipping point. Katy bar the door we got a hot one tonight. The Gahden will be rockin' and hopefully so will the Bruins. let's get to it!!

This is it folks. The Final round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Chicago vs Boston. Boston vs Chicago. Blackhawks vs Bears. You know we do it here. We move onto a new round of games, you get a new round of bears and babes. I'm getting this in under the wire so let's get to it.

TCT- Drop Tha Puck Edition

I told you I had another post loaded and waiting. Today starts the 2nd round of the playoffs for the Bruins. I worked up some more burly bears in hockey jerseys to show some support for the team. I also wanted to have some fun with the two teams mascots. However I found out that the New York Rangers do not have a mascot, they're not missing much. So i had some fun with the bear vs ranger idea. I think you will like the idea I worked up.

Game 7

This is it. Game 7. I did not want it to come to this but I am hoping for the best. Katie bar the door we are in for a long night. I've been waiting around all day for the game. To keep the hockey theme going I finished up another piece featuring both the Bruins mascot, or my take on him, Blades and the Toronto mascot, Carlton the polar bear. I figured it would look better than a bear wrestling with a pile a leaves since Toronto has really showed to put up a fight.

Some of you may know, and some of you could probably care less, but I am a huge Boston hockey fan. I follow the Bruins for the NHL and the Boston College Eagles for college hockey. This time of year those that are hardcore hockey fans turn their attention to the playoffs. Its a great time of year. While we have a few more weeks til the NHL playofs the NCAA hockey playoffs are in full swing.

So in honor of that and to show off that I can do a little more than sketch some sexy curvy ladies I give you the bear and the bird. Let's go Bruins! Lets go Eagles!!

The Boys Are Back

The season is over a 1/4 of the way done. The Bruins are doing a damn good job and have a great record so far. I am super pumped they are back tonight from a road trip. This coming month they are gonna be going balls to the wall with games. In honor of that I wanted to add another one of my bears to the growing roster.

So there is the new one, and the some of the other classics.

Sketchy Saturday- Drop Tha Puck Edition

It's finally here!!! The long delayed start of the NHL season has finally arrived. It's pretty freaking exciting. i wish my head wasn't s damn clogged with a sinus thing and I could really cheer them on. I am still looking forward to it. So in celebration of Hockey Is Back day i worked up a few of those sketches I did two weeks ago when the lockout ended. I forgot how much fun it is to draw a bear in a hockey jersey. Hopefully there will be more reasons to draw them throughout this sprint of a season.

Good afternoon friends.  Hope you are having a good weekend. Mine has been pretty productive. I decided to behave myself and get back to normal a bit and stay in for the weekend. That and it's a tight week money wise. So in keeping with the new years reboot that goes on i worked on rearranging my room/studio/living space. It actually came out pretty well. I cleaned out my closet and tossed a bunch of junk I didnt need.
I also got to look back at some old art that I had from first few years at the Joe Kubert School and some stuff from high school. Yikes. It was rough looking at some of that stuff. Other works were still fresh in my mind. Hopefully one day I will get to work on them again.
I got to writing some more scenes for that big project I talked about a while ago. A little story progression and planning session on Friday night before I passed out early.

Today i finished up a long overdue commission as well. You will be seeing that soon, pending approval.

The big news this weekend though...the NHL lockout has ended. The two sides have come to an agreement, none too soon. I am a huge hockey fan and I am very excited for it. Can't wait to cheer for the Bruins again. So in celebration of that I hit the drawing desk early, as soon as I found out. I have been waiting a long time to post something like this.
