Heavy Hearted

So it is the month of showing love and caring to that special person, or persons in your life. I am without a Valentine this year, no big deal, but I was alerted to some other themes going on for this month. A month that focuses and on showing off pinks, purples, whites and reds has a greater meaning.
There is a #GoRed movement going on  social media to raise awareness for Women's Heart Health. We are all fans of health women so I think that any and all support you can show is more than welcome.

I did what I could so far to show some support for it.

Playing around with the Lady In Red some more, here is a little tease for what is to come next week.

Speaking of the coming weeks. I am sad to say that I am not sure how active the art will be. We have had a few shakes up in the family and my personal life and professional life have taken a hit. I am doing what i can to help myself deal with the dramatic changes and move on to get things betters. I hope that all of you that check this page, my twitter, my Facebook and DA pages will continue to do so. Any and all support is much appreciated as always.

Memorial Day Post

I've always like Memorial Day weekend. I guess it has to do with getting a 3 day weekend during the school year before all the finals and stuff happened. It may be that or as you get older you get a 3 day weekend off from work. There is also the possibility that it is usually the weekend of a big BBW bash here in New England. That didn't happen this year though, I'm not in school, and don't have a steady job.

So todays real reason that I like Memorial Day so much has to do with the reason it was instituted, to honor the life of those lost during wartime and giving their all for this country. I know that this page reaches out to all over the world (not bragging, i checked my stats) so I am not sure if you all set aside a day of thanks for the military and armed forces, but you should. I have never served, I'm not really built or wired for it, but I am immensely thankful and grateful to everyone that I know that has and still does and to all those I don't know as well. You are all better men and women than I could ever hope to be.

So this is my little tribute to you, in my own way.

Momentous Monday

Welcome back to the work week everyone. Hope you all had a good one. We got a big fun one in store this week. Memorial Day weekend has always been one of my favorite times of year. I am not sure why but I just like it. The unofficial start to summer and a new season.

Along with the new we must also embrace the old. Todays post is one of thanks and gratitude. I hit 14,000 views on my DA page. WOw. I cannot thank you all who have stopped by and commented, faved, and added my works to your collections. Its not always fun over there and some people may shit on it but i really like it and feel a part of a community. Thanks again.
