TCT - Throwback Edition

Hey all. Happy Thick Chick Thursday. Hope your week is going alright. My week has been a fucking emotional roller coaster. It sucks, its whiney if I go into it so I don't want to waste your time with it.
I am actively job hunting around here and its just not working out. got hurt while trying out for one job and had to step away. Got a 2nd call back for a job they turned me down on the week before, only to have them use me as a glorified fill-in that day, Very disappointing. Really thinking and leaning towards leaving the MA area and New England as well. If you have any insight, advice or thoughts on such a move please let me know.


Now on with the art. With all the shit thats going in and outside of my life I kept reflecting on how things used to be. Yes I am one of those people that gets stuck in the past and dwells on thoughts negative and positive. Do i wish i knew the future? You betcha. Do i wish it was 1993, 2000 or 2004 again?? Oh yeah. Can i do anything about that? I doubt it.

So with the thoughts of the past running through my mind I went through some old sketchbooks. Today is Throwback Thursday here on the blog. We are going all the way back to.... the end of summer 2011. Its not far but in terms of growing as an artist I have gotten a lot better. There were some pieces that I really did like though that never came out to forefront like they should have. So today i am posting and teasing some new old stuff.

So all these lovely ladies kinda go from summer into fall. One left over from the "Rebel girls" post i did. i will color and add her. Another plumped up version of a horror icon in "Crystal Lake". A sexy and scary witch. With all the talk of traveling back in time I had to include a sexy "Mcfly" right??

So here is hoping for more fun and positivity in the future. Ha!

Support Saturday

I dont know if this will be a recurring theme but its a special weekend.

All the fabulous ladies over on the west coast involved with Voluptuous Entertainment are putting on there big show tomorrow. I met them at Fanfest and they have been working hard promoting and producing this event. A lot of love and care has gone into it. It benefits the wounded war veteran fund. Its a good cause and its going to be a good show. I wish i could attend but let me tell you, these girls bring it. Here is the link if you want to donate or buy a ticket. Full Color Friday - Team Colors Edition

The cheer and chant that thousands will be cheering and chanting along with come this sunday. Finallyy the football season gets into full swing and gets the season rolling. Woohooo!!! I can't say that I am a die hard jersey wearing fan but damn do I love the Patriots. I didn't really watch football when I was younger. I really started getting into when i went away to school and didn't have the constant "You should play football" "hey do you play football? you should." and "You gotta play football" being pushed on me. Much more enjoyable when you can just sit back and watch it ya know.

So to usher in the new season of course my mind turned to do some artwork for it. Last season i worked and toiled away on some epic posters that I never really took to with the colors. I have a few more ideas of stuff I'd like to do for the team itself. Of course earlier this week I had my "Serious Fun" post as well. Today its all about support though. The best support you can get. The cheerleaders baby. Done as only as I could.

TCT - Touchdown Edition

Football is back people!!! Woohooo!!! No more boring sundays.

I've been busy all day working something that just keeps growing and growing in production but I didn't want to wait any longer to get this out. I've had a couple of these girls waiting around since last week.

Lets get it kicked off then shall we??

It's Serious Fun

Happy Hump Day all. Hope your week is going by alright. Almost half over now, and even faster since its the four day work week. Labor day weekend was fun, despite having a tight budget. I got out to the Heavenly Bodies BBW Bash on saturday night and hung out with my girls. Great seeing their faces. My friend, Sara, actually gave me the name for this blog. How bout that right? Sunday was a chill day. Hung out with the family and wandered around town here. Monday was good too. Got more family stuff and monday night got to go visit my friend in New Hampshire. Really fun then. ;)

So whats so serious about today's posting?? Footballl!!!! Its back baby. Albeit a little odd to have one game in the middle of the week and then sit around waiting for the explosion on sunday but it should be a good one tonight. Not sure who I want to win, just hope its entertaining.

So to celebrate the new season coming in I did something kinda special. I drew a guy. I know, odd right? Well this guy has been cracking me up and even though some people find him annoying or weird I am loving the "It's Serious Fun" campaign the NFL network is running. That dude is the blue suit is just so committed to his odd character and his delivery is classic. So I wanted to do something with him. I hope you like it.

I'm not even gonna ask if you are in fact ready for some football. let's face it, we all are.

 As you can see I had a good time and took a liking to this guy.

Celebration Both Fun and Somber

So today is the big event at the Heavenly Bodies Labor Day Bash . Its one of the biggest dances of the year and we are all looking forward to it. Even when things are a little down and stressful we can always count on our friends to come out and party and show us all a good time. I am looking forward to it. I wanted to take this time though to honor a friend that a lot of us lost this year.

Our good friend Beth Schrauger aka Madison Aikers passed earlier this year. Its very sad that we lost her. It was a year ago this weekend that i first met Beth and had an awesome time hanging with her and her crew all weekend last Labor Day. I think that Heather is planning an in memoriam moment for her and a few other people we lost this year. Its so sad. So i wanted to do something special for her. I never got around to getting anything done for her while she was still modeling but I like to think that she would have liked these.

RIP Beth.
