Hump Day - Early Riser Edition

Happy Hump Day all. Hope your week is going well. I'm doing alright. Been kinda busy and reorganizing other projects. Lots of little peaks of creativity coming here and there. Yes the "Oliver" poster is off to the side again. Its not that I'm not liking it I just need to work on some other things as they appear to me. Helps to get the ideas out as fast i can that way I can rework them over and over.
I found that out working on a new freelance project. I started coloring what I thought was the final version of the art but i realized that I could and wanted to do better. I went back last night and reworked the pose, likeness and composition of the piece. Basically the whole thing. It will be for the best. So I had to scan in the new art.

While doing that I scanned in some more sketches and rough ideas for more small projects I have wanted to do for a while. So for without further ado here is your Hump Day art post.

One of the many and few good sketches I did while sitting outside the other day. @BCutieKennedy asked me to do some more drawings of her. hopefully I can get my pencil around her new big sexy curves.

@bustycookie has also been after to get some drawings of her done. This is one of the first attempts. More to come Ms Cookie ;)

One of another long delayed pieces of art that i have wanted to do was that of the gorgeous Scarlett Vavoom of Voluptuous Entertainment SoCal. These ladies put on helluva show I only wish I could see it in person. But until then please check them out here Voluptuous Entertainment

Speaking of girls with vavoom. Or more va-va voom. Here i a little tease for a project I want to get going featuring the cast of "Smash". This is the sexy and drivn ms Ivy Lynn played by the super talented Megan Hilty.

Another little tease for some more upcoming work. "Mad Men" just ended their 5th season. Wow what a season. Its really one of the best shows on tv. It may not always be as epic or filled with cliffhangers as others but the character work and acting is the best around. i only hope i can do some of the fellas, and ladies, jsutice.

Finally we end with another tease for a bigger project that is far from completion. This is the latest update for the "Hero of the Day" story I want to do. The dry erase board got erased three times to get the newest set of index cards. Lots of ideas flowing. More to come soon too.

Celebrating Another Life

So earlier this week i wrote something up about a friend that we recently lost. The beautiful and fun Madison Aikers died last weekend. It is very sad.

Today however I am not mourning though. Today we get to celebrate the life of another one of my supporters and my favorite models, Rikki Waters. Its her birthday!! I did a sketch of her a few years ago and she was nice enough to send me a greeting an fan sign pic. i even got a happy birthday shout out from her on twitter. So I wanted to do something nice and sweet for her as well.

Here we are another day in the middle of a big fat week. This time its a little slower pace I think. A full five days at least for all you day job having ham and eggers. Hope you are all doing well and keeping the world rolling.

Just Saying a Few Words

I really don't have anything special for this post. I don't know if its the weather or just the way things are going lately but I am feeling very burnt out and drained. I want to say that I have been busy working on new and exciting stuff and that this summer will be the best ever. I want to say a lot of things. I can't however say that. Its just more of the waiting game again.
I'm waiting around to hear about jobs. I'm waiting for some money that I might be getting to come in. I'm waiting to see what the summer is going to be like, stuck her with no job slowly going insane dealing with my family while really wanting to get the fuck out of here. Waiting, waiting, waiting.......Yes its that kind of blog posting again. I'm bitchy. If I remember right I haven't had one of these posts in a while so just deal with it.

I have a feeling that my big break with the BBW artwork getting noticed and stuff isnt going to happen. I look around at the other art blogs, sites and articles that get picked up on the internet and I really get discouraged. Everyone is so much better than I am. It seems like everyone gets noticed for their skill except for the guys doing fat girl drawings. I am very happy to have the little core audience I have but I want and know I can do better. I just have no idea how to do it. All these new young artists in comics, design studios and freelance gigs blow my work out of the water. I really don't know what I am missing that doesn't allow me to see things the way they do. Their works cover everything so well. Design, presentation, colors execution. I feel incredibly left behind and its one of those times that I just sit around and think "Why do i even bother?"

That thought translates to other parts of my life too. Looking for a full time job, helping with the family and living at home for so long has just run me down. I had a really fun weekend last weekend too and its just smash back to reality once the buzz wears off. I suppose that finding out a friend has died will kinda do that. I really didn't know how to react to the news, I still don't think i do but her passing has had a bigger effect on me than I realized.


For those of you that may not know and might have known her, my friend Beth aka Madison Aikers passed away over the weekend. I saw the posting by her best friend on Facebook on sunday morning and that kinda sent things into this sense of shadow. She was incredibly sweet and very fun to hang out with. I met her last year at the Labor Day bash for Heavenly Bodies here in MA. I met her in the drink line and we got talking. She introduced herself as "Beth" and we ended up hanging for much of the dance saturday night. It wasn't until later in the night that i realized and was told she was Madison Aikers of Big Cuties and Feed This Fatty fame. We ended up hanging out for much of the weekend and she even got me to come back for the sunday night dance and pool party. I hung out again all night and we talked and she really opened up about her various illnesses. I'm still not sure of what she had but i know that it was really hurting her this year. We talked off and on after missing out get together over New Years weekend. The last I heard from here was early in May and she had said that she was doing better but still had a few recent hospital stays.
I had actually sent her a text friday morning to see how she was doing. I guess now we know. She was very into the gaining and feeder aspect of the BBW community but thats not all she was about. She was so nice and pretty. I really enjoyed her company and am going to miss her tremendously. RIP Beth

It seems rather stupid to continue bitching and moaning about how semi shitty things are around here so I will just leave it at that for now. I needed to get my thoughts and feelings out there at least.

Again, rest in peace Beth. I'm going to miss you.

Once Upon A Time....

Fast week for you?? The four days weeks always seem longer even when you dont have a day job. When I was at the old 9 to 5er the four day weeks seemed more crazy and longer than the standard weeks since we always had to do 6 days of work in 4 days instead of the usual 5. I have been missing that feeling lately though. The working hard every day feeling, not the feeling like my head is about spin off my shoulders feeling.

So what is new this week for the day that we celebrate our ladies curves more than any other day of the week? Well, why don't you tell me. I have some new fun pics and sketches for you to check out.

Expanding off the Disney Princess theme I started a few weeks ago I have some more girls to add and some returning favorites. While at the BBW bash this past weekend I had someone ask me where Tinkerbell was. I think i remedied that situation this week.

T'is A Fine Life Tuesday

So last week I went full on TittyTuesday for you all. This week I go a little differently. For a while now I've been working on a piece based on the musical "Oliver". I got the designs to where I like them, the layout close to good and felt it was time to really get this thing is shape for coloring.
So today i finally scanned in the individual parts of the poster and put them together in Photoshop. It came together pretty nicely. I now have to color it all and clean it up a bit more.

Another step I took was taking one of the sheets of comic book art board I recently purchased and put it to use. It had been a while since I'd handle comic board, probably about 6 or 7 years. I used it a couple times in school but going into the animation side of things at the Joe Kubert School I didn't have much use for it. Still surprises me that I have been out of there for 6 years now. Time flies.

So yes today is a project update and hopefully you all like it as much as I do. I really want this one to be special and a standout project for me.

So like I said these all need to get cleaned up and fixed some more and then of course add colors, but this is what I am aiming for. I am very pleased with how its coming together.

Got You Standing At Attention

So with the coming holiday i wanted to do something that was sorta related to it. Memorial Day is a day we are all supposed to show appreciation to those that we lost while they were defending out nation.

Every year I try to do a military theme piece and it never works out. I suck at drawing guns, tanks and vehicles. I'm much better at doing curves.

So here is a piece I did to show off Old Glory with some sexy ladies showing off the red, white and boobs. Blue!! Red, white and blue. Sheesh.
