Game 2

What seemed longer: Game 1 itself or the wait between games. I like that they got rest after that monster of a game Wednesday night, but i also feel like it disrupts the flow of a good series. Now we have a game tonight, monday night and wednesday night again. Then there is another big break with Game 5 next saturday. Lord knows what will happen between now and then but I am glad we have hockey still rolling along.


So I've been busy with some life shit. Trying to get a job and doing interviews. I got something tonight that will keep me from seeing the game on tv and will have to listen on the radio. Here is hoping for the best. While i was doing this "something" the past couple nights though I was able to add to my ever growing roster of hockey playing bears. Hoping this adds some more support and well wishes to the boys in black and gold out in Chicago.

Flashback Friday(s)

So i went looking through the stats and posts of this page this morning. Turns out I am doing alright. This one should be posting 240 and I am nearing 40,000 veiws. That's pretty good by my standards. I understand that not everything on here is of interest to all and some posts better than others but I am grateful to all who look. I started this thing as a way to keep myself drawing and creating. It's worked. Later this year will be the 3rd anniveersary. Nothing special but I hope to keep it going past then as well.

So in feeling a little nostalgic and thankful I figured I would do something a little special for this pretty friday. The sun is shining and it feels like a nice early summer day out here in New England. I figured to keep the good vibes going I would look back to posts around this time of year, last year, and see what I was doing. That way those of you that are new and haven't made it too deep into the back catalog can see where I have come from. I may keep this going all season too. You know i love a good theme posting.

So with the Final underway now, and the Bruins down in the series i figured I would go out on one last Hockey Hottie blast. Especially being that it's Thick Chick Thursday. This is it folks. The Final round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Chicago vs Boston. Boston vs Chicago. Blackhawks vs Bears. You know we do it here. We move onto a new round of games, you get a new round of bears and babes. I'm getting this in under the wire so let's get to it.

Finish It Friday

Another weeks end, another big game in the NHL Playoffs. If you are not watching you are missing some amazing hockey. The game the other night went into 2OT's and...let's face it if you arent watching now you aren't watching.

What i do hope you check out regardless is the epic series of posting I have done centered around the playoffs. Today being a GIANT game I had to add to that. My loyalties are with them no matter the outcome but I want it done. Today.

TCT- 10 years gone edition...

I mentioned earlier this week that I sometimes get whiney and maybe over nostalgic for the past. It's a curse. I've always wanted to stay in a certain time period because of how good and safe it feels. There are a few times that I have settled on, if I had the ability to time travel, i would go back to. 1994, being 10yrs old and not worrying about a thing in life. 2004, the best year of school i've ever had with some of the best friends and a good job. There are other years or periods of time I would visit or revisit but not as long as I would those time periods.

I usually get nostalgic or longing for the old days around certain anniversaries of events. Be they birthdays, holidays or in this case the 10 year anniversary of graduating high school. While high school wasnt an all around unpleasant time for me, I certainly would not go back there. I like to think that I have matured and grown since then, however being without a good steady job and still living with my parents constantly has me doubting myself and second guessing what I have done since that time. YOu are supposed to graduate, go to college, find a partner and make a new family right? Well it has not gone that way for me as it has others. My desired job was never conventional and as I have learned  that my dealings with relationship isnt always conventional as well.

I am hoping that in the coming year, or rest of the year as we are nearly half through it, things will turn around and change for the better. I certainly hope so and appreciate any and all positive thoughts and energy sent my way.
