Hump Day

Happy Hump Day everyone. ANother week, another wednesday. Hope you are all doing well.

Todays posting has a little backstory to it. Yesterday we lost a real legend in the film industry. Ray Harryhausen passed away at age 92. Wether you know his name or not you know his legacy. Ray was responsible for so many great creatures of cinema in movies like "The 7th Voyage of Sinbad" , "Mysterious Island", "One Million Years B.C." and the original "Clash of the Titans".  He hadn't worked in movies for some time but all his effects and design abilities reached all the way to current movies. I really loved seeing his monsters come to life. Nothing like seeing an army of skeletons  battle human warriors on a cliffside, or a gigantic undersea monster get released for the first time.

A while back when the remake of "Clash of the Titans" I did my own take on the Medusa character. The designs and thoughts were no doubt heavily influenced by Mr Harryhausen. This is just my way of paying some respect to him.
