hump Day - Recap Edition

Its the last wednesday of July. Its the last hump day of the month. We roll on intio August starting tomorrow, so we are pretty much over the hump of summer as well. I am fine with that. I dig the cooler weather anyway. I love the smell and feel of Autumn in New England.

So since it is kind of a special day, I'm making it one, I figured I would do something sorta special. I thought of this five minutes ago and it may just be a new monthly feature. Since some of my work is taking off and getting more notice on other page I was thinking I would a quick recap at the end of each month now to showcase off the previous posts you may have missed. Sound good? Good, cause here we go.

Not gonna top that this month.

I'd say it was  mighty productive and interesting month of work. Hope you like it all.

Tuesday Treat

I am working on a lot of stuff at the moment. Still got a few more fo those ladies of OZ to color and fix up. From what I gathered, you all liked them a lot. More sexy plus sized versions of well know ladies coming soon too. I am also working on a few commissions but they were will be and always is openings for new ones as well. Do not hesitate to inquire about one.

Since it seems that I have been in a witchy mood as of late i figured there was another lady i could add to the mix. The past week i have caught at least 4 of the "Harry Potter" movies on tv. They are great and entertain me every time. Man that dragon in "Deathly Hallows Part 2" is a thing of beauty. ANother darker beauty of that series is the marvelous mad Bellatrix Lestrange. Always enjoyed her bit of crazy dark magic. So i worked up a couple takes on her. Hope you enjoy it.

Speaking of anti-hero females I worked up a full color version of an older piece I did when i had the "Star Wars" ladies on here. I played the Wii game with my nephew and it got me thinking of doing another ,better, series of some of the girls I did. Here is one.

Fanfest Friday

I would be a fool to not mention the HUGE event going on now in the BBW and Plus Sized world right now. BBW Fanfest is going on right now out in Las Vegas. Last year was the first year for it, and I was fortunate enough to attend and show my stuff. Since then I have built relationships with those I met, gotten some work and notice out of it and had the inspiration to continue on with my work because of it.

I encourage you all to go and check it out if you can. the hotel is great, the casino is good and Fanfest looks to be bigger and better than last year. Check out the website and follow along with your favorite models an the official twitter page for all the fun and updates. I know I will.

Congrats to all those that are going and are involved with it. looking forward to hearing all about it.

Full Color Friday - Over the Rainbow Edition

Thick Chick Thursday - A Wonderous Beginning

So its Thick Chick Thursday again. I can't believe it's been a week since I last posted on here. I am very glad to say that the reason for that is a good one. I've been quite busy at the drawing board with some commission work and a new personal project.

If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter at all,I have been teasing and hyping what I might be doing next for a small series of pin-ups. It was all that hard to figure out but I can finally reveal some of the art that I have come up with.

Like I have said before, some of my favorite movies and things about geek culture have never been put to paper by myself. Fan art is a big hit with people. I have done some and they turned out great. Combining two favorite subjects can lead to great work. I have some great work to show off, mostly. "The Wizard of OZ" has always been a big part of my life, as with most creative types I am sure. Celebrating 75 years this year the movie still holds up and entertains beyond measure. What I have here is just the first stages. The pre landing in OZ phase if you will. We will open the door to Munchinkinland and full glorious technicolor soon.

I'd say she is a very good witch.

I'd follow her down the Yellow Brick Road.

Yeah, she's pretty badass.
